Final Exam
The final exam:
- Is worth 30% of your final grade.
- Will consist of 120 multiple choice questions in 120 mins
(Note: The mid-semester exam was only 60 questions in 90 minutes).
- Will examine unit material from lectures, tutorials, and readings
during Weeks 10 to 15, including being asked to
interpret SPSS output.
- Will require use of a non-programmable calculator (e.g., for calculating
Cohen's d effect sizes)
The questions are organised by topic:
- MLR (50 questions)
- ANOVA (50 questions)
- Power (20 questions)
Practice Final Exam
The practice exam:
- Is similar in format, style, and content to the final exam.
- Although similar in content and offering a useful guide, the final exam
may ask questions not covered in the practice exam, but covered in lectures,
tutorials, and readings.
- Includes some questions which require use of the power and effect size
spreadsheet calculators. The final exam includes some questions which
assume you've completed the relevant Tut 5 exercises and understand how
statistical significance is determined as a function of power, effect size,
N, and critical a.
